Puppy Progress updates supplied by new DoodleUK Owners

Hope all is well with you!

Looked at your web site and the latest puppies look adorable.

Cocoa is doing Fab! She is so laid back nothing phases her. Her coat is great and all wavy now and she is firm fiends with Tazhia, they do everything together.

Buddy is besotted with them too, he runs very slowly so that they can keep up.

Just wanted to update you on our lovely puppy that we bought from you.  She is called "Coco" and is the most adorable dog imaginable.  She's now fully (ish) house trained.  She was quite amazing when I tried to teach her to sit......she did it immediately...almost as if she'd been taught before.  She will now lie down on command, she waits for her dinner until she's told to eat, lets go of toys when told.......generally a wonderful puppy.  Tilly, our other labradoodle thinks she's either a sister or daughter and protects her and plays with her all the time...it's quite wonderful to see.  As I write this email they are both cuddling up on a bed.  Unfortunately, within a few days of Coco arriving we had to have "Red" our labrador put to sleep but Coco is making up for the loss.

I have never seen a dog eat dinner quite as fast as Coco but maybe she will slow down eventually.

Thank you for giving us such a lovely dog....it must come from the genes.  I do think that labradoodles are absolutely the best dogs you can ever have in your home.

Thanks again

Andy XXX

Just to let you know that Olive (formerly known as Bailey!) has had a really good first week with us She slept through the night from the first day which was very popular! She is eating and playing well and seems much more responsive than our Labrador pups She has been watching the Olympics and runs over to the phone when it rings! We all love her, and want to thank you for raising such a settled beautiful puppy. Have attached a photo (see photo gallery)- will keep in touch

Caroline

Hi all at Doodlesuk, Sorry it has taken a while for me to e-mail.

Poppy my daughter has named the puppy Penny, as she found a penny on her way home from school and made a wish that she could have a dog for her birthday on it, so there is a nice little story behind her name.

She has settled into the family really well, she cried a bit the first two nights, but now knows the routine and is happy to go into her crate at bedtime.

Both of the children love her and have lots of fun playing with her and cuddlying her.  The weather has been really nice since we brought her home on Wednesday so she has spent a lot of time playing in the garden with both Poppy and Aidan.

She has been for her first injection with no problems.  I have attached a couple of photographs of her so you can see how happy she is.............(see Photo Gallery)

I will keep in touch and send some more photographs as she gets bigger.  Audrey.

Thought you might like to see how Rafa is getting on. It doesn't seem possible he is now 15 weeks old.

House training was fine and we have no problems. He is a great character and very popular at the Residential home where my Mum is.

Thanks so much . You did a great job with him.

 Sally, Martin and Rafa

 Hi,

Sorry it’s taken me a while to get back in touch, but just wanted to give you an update on Lola.  She has turned out to be a fantastic family dog, she is very sweet and gentle and I get stopped in the street all the time by admirers.

She's gotten quite big, but I have no idea if she will grow any more.  its very hot here (SPAIN) and each day when we walk I have to hose her down first - this she adores!  We go boating quite a lot and she is very well behaved on the boat.  We always throw her in for  swim and once she is wet and cool she likes to sit on the back of the boat and watch the sea.  I have sent a picture! (see photo gallery)

 Best wishes, Tracey

I cannot believe that Milo is now six months old, it only seems like yesterday when we brought him home.

During the last six months he has had so many adventures and i think that he is as happy with us as we are to have him as part of our family; I can't really remember what life was like without him.

Milo attended puppy socialisation classes from 12 weeks old, we were so proud, he is such an intelligent young man and learns new tricks so easily having only been shown them a handful of times.

He also had his first holiday in sunny Dorset, just before the rain came in.  He absolutely loved the beach, it was I am sure how he imagines doggy heaven to be!

I hope that all the other puppies in his litter have brought their owners the joy and laughter that Milo has brought myself and Guy.

 Regards   Michelle & Guy

Just thought would drop you a line with a few photos of Pru - she is such a dream girl and we are having so much fun with her.  We couldn't believe she learned to use her puppy training pads on day one, she even understands quite a few commands already like stay and ah ah when she is biting something she shouldn't!

She has got a slipper fetish and steals my slippers at every opportunity -she thinks this is a great game.

She absolutely loves her crate and play pen and all the wonderful toys her daddy has spoiled her with!

We have been taking her to the office every afternoon and she just loves it she has played happily in her pen and had lots of sleep - we are amazed at how unfazed she is by anything and it goes to show what a good job you have done socialising the pups.

We can't wait to get Piper now and are sure Pru will be excited to have a friend to play with.

 Speak soon, Best wishes

Jo & David

Nettie is now heading towards her first birthday, and continues to be a fabulous addition to the family. She makes me laugh with her antics - she loves doing the school run, all the children stop to say 'hello', as do the mums, but she refuses to leave until all the children have gone into school.  We are still going to training classes, she is becoming very good at scent work and enjoys anything with a bit of 'brain work' involved.

I would definitely like to find a friend for Nettie, another large F1, would be ideal. Are you planning any other litters?

If you are planning a large F1 litter, how far in advance could I book a Girl? Knowing your setup and devotion to your dogs, I would be happy to pay
a deposit before visiting any possible litter.

Best regards to you and your family, Nicola and of course Nettie

Just to let you know Rafa has settled in happily in Cornwall. He is learning fast especially if food is around !!

He will have his second innoculations on Monday so am looking forward to be able to take him out  the week after.

Sending a couple of photos, (see gallery)

 Regards, Sally Martin and Rafa

Just wanted to let you know that we are really enjoying having Coco. She is very good, and seems to take everything in  her stride. The journey home was really good, no accidents! The children did not know a thing until they go through the front door and I told them that Dad had something in the garden for them! They both had the same reaction when they saw her and noise something between Woooh and Ahhhh! They really love her and still cant quite believe they have her! Will keep you posted....!

Many Thanks once again! Liz Percy

Here are some photos of Millie.  she's seems to be settling in really well.  We love her so much, she's great.  She did cry a few times last night, but we left her like you said.  When we got up this morning to see her she was so excited, it's so lovely.

We caught her with one of my slippers this evening, you'll see in one of the photos.  She's a little monkey!

Thanks again, We'll keep you updated.

Becki & Nick xxx

This is jus a quick note to say thank you for your lovely puppy.

She is absolutely beautiful and has such a loving nature. She fitted into our life so well.

We had a few accidents in the kitchen, but she has been so well since.

Sam adores her so much and loves giving her commands.

We are just so happy with her, as she is exactly what we wished for our family.

We are a bit behind of photo shooting, but as soon as they are ready, we shall keep you posted.

Best regards Kazumi, Neil & Sam

Just had to let you know how happy we all are with our new friend "Button"" who we have now had for 3 weeks.

She is so good and settled down in her new home, Paul thinks she's a little angel I'm not so sure when she tears round the lounge having managed to find someone's shoe.  Its all good fun, she's learning and Paul already has her sitting by the wheelchair waiting for him to say "Up Button" then she gets her treat.

She's very keen to learn and Paul has a trainer coming 5th April to give him some advice, in time we can go up to Cainine Partners for the day and they will help as well.

It's the best thing we have done for Paul and he certainly has a wonderful friend and companion, as we all have. She is very much admired by all the District nurses and Carers that come and go.

 Best Wishes Sue

I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know how Dandi was Doo-ing!

I shall send some pictures in due course - at the moment it's nigh on impossible to get a good one of her because each time we have the camera out she is in "Tigger" mode (i.e. very bouncy!)  We absolutely love her to death - she is becoming more and more self aware by the day and has started to return our kisses (I'm sure that's not very hygienic but hey we love it!) and respond to her name.  She has her second jabs on Monday and then we have arranged for her to start a puppy training class a couple of weeks later.

When we took her to the vets for her first round, she was quite the centre of attention - the vet thought that she was a beautiful puppy and was very taken with her.  We haven't introduced her fully to our older dog, Sammy, or to our cats, Mary and Mungo (yes, there was a Midge some time ago) - she has sniffed them but just proved too bouncy and playful and they all ran away from her - and continue to do so at the moment!

Her favourite game is to try and remove my husband's hat - he has a shaved head and so his woollen hat sticks like Velcro - it has a large bobble on top so when they are playing she has great fun trying to peel it off!  We are hoping to get her house trained soon but just wanted her to settle in first before we started putting any demands on her.

I'll be in touch soon with some pictures - she looks particularly cute in her pink puppy collar and lead for when we take her into the garden!!!

Best wishes Kerry

The Parkers from Bristol xxx

Hi there!

We got Dylan from you in Febuary and we just wanted to e-mail you some pictures and to let you know how he is. We had a very good journey home with him, he seems to enjoy car journeys.

He has settled in here very well, he is very affectionate and faithful and seems extremely happy - he never fails to make us smile.

He has had his two injections, the vet was very happy with him and it has been lovely introducing him to the big wide world, which he is very excited by! We've never had so many conversations with people while out walking!

He is learning commands well, and although still making more puddles than we'd like, at least he always does it on the newspaper!

It is lovely having him around, hard work, but he's a great dog. And very handsome too. It was lovely meeting you and great knowing Dylan came from such a loving home.

We would love to bring him to see you when we are next in Wales.

All the best,Clive, Gaynor, Menna, Luke and Lloyd Pritchard!

Sorry it's been so long since I last updated to you.

Margo is doing really well, shes just had her second jabs today & we can't wait to get her out & about in a weeks time!!!!!  We have been to a puppy party at our local vets, where she was the largest puppy by far, the size of her paws put all the others to shame!?!?!  She loved playing with the other puppies & the owners, everybody loves her & nothing seems to fase her!!

I hope I managed to attach the photo.  I saw the new arrivals on your website, sooo adorable, but I wouldn't swap Margo for the world.
I'll update you when we've ventured into the big wide world.
Sara & Richard. & Margo!!

Hi there!

We thought you'd like to see how Barkley is doing. Isn't he lovely?!  This picture actually doesn't do him justice as it was such a dull  day but his coat is so lovely and glossy with a great wave to it -  and changing each week.

He's a lot of fun and an absolute fiend for getting hold of anything  he can but I've been firmly training from the day we got him and he  gently let's go of anything he's got, however much you know he wants  it. I take him to training once a week which is great for  socialisation with other dogs and he's doing so well. Really rewarding to teach.

In the meantime I hope all's going well. Love the curly chocolate  pups you've got on your site!

All the best for now and I'll send another shot of him in the  sunshine when it finally comes out.

Regards Annalise and Rob

Thought I'd let you know how Mad Molly is faring!!! It was lovely to see her sister Lottie on your website - they are very very similar - tho Molly is perhaps more brown in her legs and beard - I am not sure if that is just mud-stain tho as she loves her muddy walks - the muddier and puddlier the better!!!! I adore her!!!!

Molly and I are doing our Kennel Club Bronze test on Wednesday - wish us good luck!!!

With very best wishes (and still thinking of an addition - tho maybe when Molly is 18 months or so!!)

 Eileen and Molly xxxxxx

We got our lovely pup from you in November - Cassie - who is the love of our life and is enjoying living by the seaside!!!

Bernice

I have finally got around to sending some photos.  Nettie and I started puppy training after christmas and she has just got
her 'puppy socialisation' certificate, and we are going on to do some novice training. She enjoys the classes, and is generally top of the class, but does suffer from selective hearing quite often!!!! She is still a fabulous addition to the family the children adore her, the only worry is constantly keeping a vigal on small toys - and dish cloths which she has a passion for!

We are actually thinking about getting a friend for Nettie - will you be having any available soon?

Many kindest regards to you and your family.

Nicola & Nettie. x

Hi, thought you might like to see how Bean is growing, she is almost 5 months old now.

Hoped you might have room on your website for one of these, we would be quite proud!!She is gorgeous and enjoying puppy training and being a bit of a star as well.

Kate & Alistair

We collected the lovely Mel from you on 2nd September and adore her.  She settled into life in busy Portobello Road immediately.  It is amazing how many people visiting the market stop us to ask about her.  We have been lucky enough to have training sessions with Katie Rourke (Canine Film Academy) in Ascot, and she also spends a lot of time at the stables with my horse and her doggy friends.  A real urban/rural mixture but means she is very well socialised.

Mel's coat is fabulous - just like a teddy bear.

I always put in a good word for you if people are interested in getting a labradoodle themselves, and Katie Rourke has been v. impressed with little Mel.

Best wishes for the New Year, and thanks again for allowing Mel to live with us

  Laura

Puppy classes going well, everyone has fallen in love with her whilst exclaiming oh what big paws you have!! I even have had a lady who trains puppies for the blind offering to look after her - clearly love at first sight! but if you look at her photo you can see why. One of the trainers has a labradoodle called Murphy who is beautiful but huge!!! Overall she is doing really well apart from destroying our garden!! Take Care

Sheilagh

Just a line to let you know that the first few days with Barkley (I'm afraid it suits him!) have gone so well. He seems to be getting really settled and is gaining confidence every day. He's obviously very smart and is learning fast on the house-training front as well as basic commands. He has us in stitches and tears around the garden like a mad thing attacking plants as he passes and then flakes out in his bed.

It looks as though he's going to be a super addition to the household and is great with the cats and the general hustle and bustle of home life. You've obviously done a great job with socialising the puppies  - thanks for everything!

Pics to follow further down the line...

All the best    Annalise and Rob

Sorry I have not been in touch earlier but we have been so busy what with one thing and another.

Anyway, just to let you know that we decided on Saffi not Molly and she certainly looks more a Saffi than a Molly.  She is getting on well and is gorgeous, well we think so anyway, everyone falls in love with her, she is so laid back!!  She is independent most times but does love a cuddle when she wants too!!  She follows me everywhere and sleeps at the side of me in her bed.  She has just started to go through the night without getting us up to go out, so that is lovely we now get a good nights sleep.

She has just had her 2nd injection yesterday so she can go out early next week.  She was weighed when she went for her 1st injection and she was 5.75kgs, yesterday she weighed 9.5kgs.  The vet says we will have to watch her weight as she looks like she will taking after the labrador side.  She eats for England mind and anything else she can find in the garden, she is always bringing in leaves or twigs of my trees!!!  Little monkey........

Sam is doing very well with her, but she is ruling the roost with him.  Anything he has and she wants she gets!!!  I tell him he's a wimp......they play very well together although at times a little too rough.  She tries to get in Sams bed at night time with him but he's not ready for that yet!!!  I'm sure they will be best of buddies though.  Shes had two baths but not that keen on them yet or the hairdryer!!!  She knows what NO is!!!

Anyway I will go now and will keep in touch with you over the months with piccies so you can see how she is growing!!

Saffi says can you give a big hug to her real mum!!!! x x x

Kisses form Saffi to you x x x

 Take care Annmarie

Molly continues to be an absolute delight! Although I have to admit that she seems to believe that everything in her path is intended to be chewed/eaten.....including me!!!

She has a permanently bad-hair-day, with a tuft of hair sticking out on top of her head, which is resulting in a second name of Tufty!!! I threatened to tie a ribbon bow around it, but, as a friend of mine said, you only have to meet her once to know that she is not a ribbon-bow-dog!!! Seriously...she answers to Molly now!!! I will not confuse her with "Tufty"!!! And I promise no bows!!!!

She sulks hugely when having to wear her collar........she just plonks her bottom down and will not budge!!!! I have surreptitiously persuaded her to move, but am hoping that the prospect of walkies and meeting new people....which she adores!!!... will motivate her to put up with the awful collar!!! Otherwise, she is a lively-non-stop-bundle-of-fun!!!!!

She continues to eat voraciously!! My daughter has loaned me her video-camera, and I filmed Molly eating today, and the timer said she took 45 seconds to demolish her dinner!!!!

Thank you again!!

Also by the way, a nurse at my vet's asked for your details for a friend of hers who will be looking for a labradoodle soon.... gave your website and phone number.. hope ok!!

Best wishes  Eileen

Just a quick report for you, we have called her Mabel and she was great in the car on the way home.  She has settled in at home really well, she is very placid and easy going and does not mind going into her crate at night.  We have only had a few “accidents” in the house (we need a new carpet anyway!) only because I didn’t pick up the signals quickly enough but I am learning.  We have organized puppy classes for her and I know she will be top of the class! But then I am rather biased.

Anyway I will keep you posted and thank you for raising such a fabulous puppy.

 Best wishes,

Alison Bowater and family.

Louis  is adorable … I wouldn’t be without him, he’s given me so much pleasure already, and everyone stops to stare and talk when I carry him to and from the car … I think he will become top dog of the village, he’s creating such a stir.  He is that true milk chocolate box puppy look.  And he is very bright … can’t imagine how as he’s very good at going puppy mad and hitting his head!  I think I will have him pretty much house trained in the next couple of weeks.  Once he can go out, I will be kicking off puppy training straight away … he is slowly learning key words, and he pretty much knows his name and is grasping “come” and “toilets” too (thank heavens!)  He is amazingly social, loves people, children and dogs so far!  He is not at all a nervous dog, and so adaptable …  I have introduced him to his puppy collar already and is now settled with it, but I will only put it on when we go out.  Also I am slowly introducing him to being brushed so he is fine when he gets older.  The next thing is to introduce the toothbrush!  Might leave that a few more days.   I think he will be a good pub dog, he does like to sit and sleep at my feet!  Will update you a little further down the road. he loves my flagstones in the cottage and prefers to sleep on the floor rather than on fleecy blankets / bed.   Which is perfect as he might not want to sit on sofas … or is that wishful thinking!

Best wishes  Peta (September 2006)

Hi, Just to let you know she has travelled really well and has eaten her tea and is playing really well with her new toys.  She loves to play!  Thank you

Annemarie and Family (September 2006)

Dizzy is settling well, Jake our goldie put her in her place the first day but now she walks all over him- quite literally!  I think he is quite used to her swinging off his tail!  Thank you for letting us give a home to one of your puppies - she has won all of our hearts.  We will email photos soon.  Take Care Sue and Family (September 2006)

We are all doing really well.  Wellington is an absolute pleasure.  So full of fun and games.  Very cheeky though.

Regards Bruna and Martin (September 2006)

Just starting to really enjoy Dylan as he is so well behaved and lovely to EVERYONE he meets!

Regards Jane (August 2006)

Murphy is 5 months.  He has a fantastic personality- we couldn't have wished for a better dog.  He is very clever and quick to pick up new things and very affectionate.  I couldn't imagine having another breed of dog now if all doodles are as lovely as him!  A great family pet.

 The Broadley Family (August 2006)

Good afternoon, just to say how we all love having Chelsea join our family, Nina our Springer has adopted her and lets her play and love her. She has brought lots of adventure and life changes, she has eaten most of my flower pots and we have had to put fencing round boarder plants and shrubs. But we are so in love with her and she has grown so fast she runs after Nina in the garden with the balls. She is very happy and we had not one bad night as long as Nina is in the bed next to her she settles and eats so well. She had her first injections last week and meet the vet and everyone has fallen for her and neighbours all taken to her as she is a comedy sketch all over Nina and playing all the time. She is a character all right and she starts puppy training classes in June, Collar on an hour a day so getting her used to us all. Very loving more and more each day.

Hope all the puppies are all going to give their owners such joy. Chews every thing in sight so not all perfect but that is what a puppy should be….

Best Regards Pola  (May 2006)

Scruffy Dog had his first visit to the vets this afternoon and it was plain sailing, you’d think he had just been shopping or something he was so laid back!

Had his first vacc and a puppy check – all top marks!

In great shape and raring to go!

Take care, will send some pix regularly   Donna and Gary (June 2006)

Just to let you know that Charlie has settled in really well. The others were a bit unsure of him at first but he is now part of the group. He has picked things up very quickly from the other dogs like when feeding time is getting carrots in the morning when Bob makes his smoothie. he goes for his second booster on Tuesday and we are looking forward to being able to take him out a week later.

When he is a bit bigger I will send photos.

Kind Regards  Liz (May 2006)

Just a quick note to let u know that Wellington has settled in really well straight from the start.  He is absolutely adorable and naughty.  Growing very well and trying to eat everything.  Will send you some photos when we get them on to the computer.

 Thanks for everything,

 A big paw hug,

Bruna, Martin and Wellington (May 2006)

Hi, Update on Oscar. He is mainly curly all over. He is such a
brilliant family dog now, very calm and good in the house. He comes to all of us for cuddles, just rests his head on your legs and looks at you. He has a great loud bark when anyone knocks on the door which  I really appreciate when Colin is away. He also has a magnificent
growl which he only uses with people he knows (especially when Colin comes home) to make himself sound like a real tough dog. We're taking him to Norfolk for two weeks this summer and I can't wait to see him  in the sea. He does love water (except baths) and swims in our
village stream if it's deep enough.

Niki (February 2006)

Hi, I just wanted to say how lovely it was to see Oscar with you all on Friday. He really is a very calm dog and we've never seen him so excited or pleased to see anyone before.  We had a good walking weekend with our friends. When we stopped for
this photo below after the trek up Pen Y Fan, he was whining to get going again! He was good as gold in the hotel at night and slept in his crate in the car when we went out in the evening.

Thanks again. Niki (October 2005)

Thought I would let you know how Gunner is getting on.

He is a fantastic boy and turning into a beautiful boy, everyone who sees him just cannot take their eyes of off him.

He caused a real stir at puppy training, as he is so easy to handle and everyone just loved him.

Thanx again

Annette (February 2005)

Thought I would drop you a line to let you know how puppy is getting on.

We couldn’t all agree on a name and the poor dog was in danger of never having one so we called him after his dad, and it really suits him.

He is a complete rascal and loves giving the older dogs hell but they are being really good with him.

Gunner loves the cats but the feelings are not mutual, oh well can’t have everything.

Had trouble finding obedience classes that havn’t already started so we have a ‘dog listener’ coming to assess him and to teach him a few rules before he starts puppy classes in the new year. This man is a guy called Stan Rawlinson and he writes for dog monthly plus other publications.

Will send more pics soon.

Take care ,  Annette (November 2004)
